Bronco Fuel Pumps

Hi-I need a fuel pump for my other truck, and a buddy has a good front pump from an 88 Bronco, that he said I could have. I don't want to take it, unless I know it will work on my truck. My pump mounts on the frame, right by the gas tank, and will be the only pump. Does anyone know it this will pull the gas from my tank, about 2.5' of hose, and what the pressure is to the engine? I only ask this because of their 2 pump setup, with the tank pump priming the front pump. What is the reasoning for the 2 pumps, is it the distance from the tank?
Thanks

are you sure the frame mounted pump is the bad one?

fuel pressure at the rail should be 39-45lbs

This is from a Bronco, but not going back on a Bronco. I want to use it a single pump, mounted on the frame, right by the gas tank. The truck it is going on only has one pump. I just wanted to make sire it would pick up the gas, thru about 2.5' of line. It was offered free, but I'm only going to take it, if it will work. Thanks for the pressure range, that parts ok. My regulator runs at 37 to 43 with the vacuum line off. I've never seen an electric pump, that wouldn't siphon the gas a short distance, but I never had one from a 2 pump system like this before either.
Thanks
