Unhappy lockout hubs

I have a 87 4x4 half ton with a factory hd front end. I need info on the lockouts, they arent normal. The ones that I purchased won't work, I have a different kind than what is listed for my truck. They have never been changed, and I am lost. The lockouts on it are mounted between the rim and rotor and they are secured that way what can I do? The snow is flying and getting deep.

Yep, that's the way my '88 is. You would of thought Ford would have put some little tin nuts on there to hold them on when you remove the wheel.

The local ford dealer said that he thought he could get them. FOR $300 A SIDE . I'm wondering if I can swap for a different set off of a junked truck? The style that can be fixed with the standard warn or superwinch lockouts.
