2 questions, this is the driver side spindle arm looking down. What does the bolt circled do? Also how do you attach the tie rod, if it is connected on the pass side, do I have to take the tie rod end off the spindle arm to attach it to the tie rod?
The way it looks, you will have to take the tie rod end off the spindle and thread it into the adjusting sleeve. Should set the toe-in afterwards. Bolt and nut look like a steering stop - to limit the turning of the wheel.
Wow, thanks for fast reply that is very helpful. Is the toe-in something I can adjust, or do I have to take to an alignment shop? I do not know haw far to screw them in. Is there a tool used for this? Sorry this is all a little new to me.
Best to take it in for alignment you can eyeball it and get it close but without alignment tools your gonna wear out tires. The toe in is when the front of the wheels are closer than the back and Camber is top and bottom. Hope this helps it's kind of hard to explain in words.

Remove the tierod ends from the spindle and thread them half way. leave the pinch bolts in but loose not snug.
Position the rod ends in to the spindel torque to spec and use new cotters.
Set the tires parallell to the rear tires.
Rotate the tie rod in or out to adjust toe. The center of the front tires should be 1/8" closer together in front. This is a good ballpark and within spec. Caster can only be set with special tools that bend the axle to spec.
