Hey there, I searched the forums but couldnt find anything on this, sorry if I missed any past threads...
It has finally gotten cold in my part of the world and so it is clearly time for radiator problems...
The little plastic drain on the radiator of my 1995 F150 300-6 has decided it is time to start leaking. It appears to be coming right out of the drain not around it. Has anyone had a similar issue? I am assuming its an O-Ring or somthing in there that seals that, is there anyway to take it apart and replace that? Or is it a plug or replace type situation?
Yea you can unscrew it all the way and then pull it out. Has a snap in type retainer you have to overcome to fully remove it once you have unscrewed all the way, keeps in it the hole as to not be lost.
You can try and replace the O ring or just replace the plug as a unit, check the "HELP" rack at your local auto parts.
Great ok thanks for the info, I think I would have been afraid of that snap in retainer part had you not mentioned it, so thanks a lot Ill see what i can do with it tonight!
