I was wondering if a 94 Powerstroke exhause would fit on a 94 IDI truck? Since they are about the same truck the exhaust routing should match up. I've tried searching and kept getting different results. Anyone run or know of someone running this set-up? Oh yeah, I know the downpipes will be different.

I've been looking into this my self and from looking just at pictures off of the net the two system's side by side they look very similar... down pipe back for the p/s and y-pipe back for the idi... the only difference I can see is a bend in one of the intermediate pipes on the p/s... check out the links and you can see the two systems I'm talking about.... looks like some minor pipe work to make it work
I've compared my '94 IDI turbo to my '97 PS and it looks like it would ALMOST be a bolt on from the down pipe back. However BOTH of my trucks have been "straight-piped" by the POs so I'm not sure.
I'm assuming you want an aftermarket system and that's why you're asking?
For what it's worth, on my truck from the downpipe back to the tailpipe (or stacks or whatever) I have no bends whatsoever.
For my original exhaust, behind the downpipe I had a 3"-4" reducer, a long straight section of 4" pipe, the Walker 4" tailpipe, and a tip.
I had about $150 total in that, with clamps hangers and all...add $50-100 if you want a muffler.
I can see how it would work. The only thing is I have a camper so I can really have it doming out the back. How is the clearance between the axle and exhaust?
