Exhaust Price

I am looking into getting a new exhaust installed. I got quoted $320 for true dual straight pipes with two stainless 18 in. tips. Does that sound about right? Also, how do you think it would sound?

By the way, it's on a 2001 F-150 5.4 V8.

I assume that is from the Cat's back with new mufflers correct? If so I'd say it is in the ball park.

If by straight pipes you mean no mufflers then I think that is incredibly high and it will be very loud.

Sounds kinda pricey. The muffler shop I usually deal with does cat-back stainless duals with a Flowmaster 50 Series muffler for $320.

my friend's dad owns a muffler shop and said he would take off 2 cats, put 3" straight pipes, and run it to the back with tips for 50$. my dad wont let me do it though.
