Dual tank question??
Hello everyone,
I just replaced the fuel pump in my front tank,and now the fuel gauge is reading wrong,1/4 tank mark is now empty,and when I switch to the back tank,it wont run,but it was like that when I got it,does the same pump work in both tanks?or is it a different one all together?? I ve pulled the bed off,because I will be working on both tanks,I think is easier this way,Does anyone think the rear pump is bad??or could it be another problem??,,

The fuel level sender is the float thing attached to the outside of the resovoir, did you change that when you had it apart? Both tanks use the same fuel pump assembly but the float is different and hard lines are shaped differently for each tank. The whole assembly comes apart so you can replace the pump itself or use a front pump in the rear tank by changing the hard line assembly.
