I do think it is a small step in the right direction. It will make CEO's aware and concerned about their conspicuous consumption, but also probably make them more careful to be inconspicuous in their consumption.
Taking money from taxpayers to give to corporations so they can pay unions to upkeep the standards they made for the members of the automaker union. So the taxpayer money will get spent faster then a new student loan. The corporations will countinue to sell cars while not making money off of them. Our tax dollars will be gone with no deductions in sight and the union will be back at square one and eventually be forced into making concentions but it will be too late the corpoartion will go bust the union will decengrate. But the taxpayer money will be spent and the nation debt will still be growing.
