Are these tires worth the price? What about the traction and highway manors? I don't mind the hum, I actually think it's pretty cool. Anyone ever ran them?
The SSR still has the usuall super swamper off road agressivness the only difference is that they are a little quieter and they have a tread wall, the tsl/sx and tsl radials are the only other ones that have a side wall, superswamper did just come out with some new tires too though. if you like the hum and want really good offroad tires get some TSL's, i love mine.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Mar-02 AT 11:02 PM (EST)]I have had super swamper TSL's and SSR's. The SSR's are much easier to live with on the street. They are quieter and have added siping which make them much better on wet pavement.
I am going to a larger tire and a different wheel. So... I am selling 4 super swamper SSR's 35/12.50/16 mounted on Centerline Hellcats 16x10. Eight lug ford.
If anyone is interested check out these tires and wheels on my excursion site. :-staun
Man, it just HAS to be 8 lug! :P I'm probably gonna put on 33"s and then as money allows, I'll add a 4 inch suspension lift and stuff some 35s or 36s under there.
