So i figured out why my ESOF did'nt work. The plug to the solenoid was loose. I plugged it in tight and the vacuum pump started running non stop even with the 4x4 switched off, additonally I lost My AC, Im just plain frustrated. I fixed all my vacuum leaks found my bad electrical connection anfd yet still problems. Oh yeah it ran my batteries dead overnight. What the heck is up. I grabbed some relays I uess Ill try them next.
Glad I have the manual shift lever, except for that time that I cheese grated the skin off the back of my hand with it jamming between the handle and the back of the salt spreader controller...
I love my ESOF.
I still haven't experienced any problems with it at 248,000 miles, but I use it almost every day and I assume that's what keeps it working.
The vacuum pump kept running with the key off? It should only run with the key on. There's still a leak somewhere if its only blowing air out of the defrost vents.

Trevor is correct. If the pump keeps running then there is a leak somewhere.
after you get the leak fixed, consider going to Warn Premium hubs ($300) they are old school get out and lock the hubs when you want 4x4, but you will still have to turn the ESOF switch to engage the xfer case.
With a lot of folks help reading posts and guzzles page, I've determined my Auto Hubs are toast, I've wrote down an etensive list of ford P/N's and will start calling around pricing seals/O-rings, bearings/studs, etc. Monday. But with the extensive list of parts and the amount of rust I am wondering if it would'nt be just as cheap to buy Warns. Here's what i'm wondering, would the Warns include new or replacement needle bearings? Also is there a link or thread on Warn hubs install with good pics and step by step.

Just go to Warns web site and you will find all the info you need including directions on install and an exploded view of their hubs. It takes about 10 min a side to install.
