1999 sd 5.4 temp sending units
somewhere i read there were 2 units 1 for the guage and 1 for the computer.
i've search this site and can't find any info on them or their locations
i think there 1 up front and it works the gauage

There is the one in the crossover in front of the intake, and then there is one on the cylinder head, somewhere under the intake. The one on the head is the CHT (cylinder head temperature).
The Superduty DOES have a CHT.
