And no, I did not think it was something dirty. I was expecting a car chase scene or something. Thanks for the pictures, though, makes me miss the mountains.

That's not really the mountains. But if you want some pictures in the mountains:
Loaded and ready to go on a pack trip.

About 10 miles into the Frank Church River of no Return wilderness area.

Giving the horses a rest on the Rapid River.

And of course, my Ford that took us there.

With a title like that, you knew this thread would get lots of hits.
Since this has become a spot to "share your ridin' pics", I'll throw a couple in.

In Washington, we are blessed with some great places to get away from it all.

At the end of the day, I look back and wonder how I'd ever get along without it.

Pure had horses vetted yesterday for relocation and I was way under on jakes weight. 1823 pounds scaled at scrap yard. Not as big as yours but bigger than I taped him at. YOur guy is a cutie. He was draft trail horse for several years. has been a vaulting horse, show horse, barrel racer, but excells on trail. He started life as an Amish timber horse in the carolinas. He is amazing. My 12 y/o could climb on him and lay on his back take a nap and I would never have to worry about anything. They are too kewl. I would really like to take him to Land between the lakes and ride him there.
My motto with percherons is put something beefy between your legs....ride a percheron.

I like where this thread went. I love seeing the trail pics.

The best thing in the world is pulling timber with him. Hook him up to some big ol' logs, gee and haw, dont even need reins. Best memory i have is being sixteen, having him and another perchron hooked up to a big ol' oak, and bringing them outta the woods, right around dark, my back and shoulders hurting, hands sore and callused from work all day, but a light snow and it was just so peaceful. Couldnt here nothing but hoofbeats and trace chains. I love those memories.

I would love to watch them timber. I heard it is fascinating. jake has no tail as the Amish dock them for Timbering, has do with the chains. correct? jake is a total babysitter. My quarter horse (in my sig now) is an ***. But he is for speed and cockiness helps that. But he has done well on the trail as well.

yep as far as I know thats why they dock them. We've never docked our horse tails for timber. It wasnt a business for us, more of a hobby and clearing close to the house its quiter and less messy.

Once I finish my time at motel, when God says my time here is through I should say I am heading for mountains. No dealing with much of anything but will def be on my horses more than I am now.
My horses are my therapy. They are my babies. I will post more pics.
