airbrush paint?
I have the airbrush now i have to get the paint. There are two brands i have been looking at. Auto air colors which is a water based paint for automotive painting. The other is Kustom Shop which is a single stage urethane. any info on these two products would help out. Trying to get in the art of painting and seeing what would be best for a beginner. Iam leaning towards the Kustom Shop paint because it will be more durable and if iam correct the urethane does not need a clear coat. Thanks

I've played with the airbrush a little, and used automotive urethanes exclusivly which required a clearcoat. I've never heard of the singlestage urethanes. Automotive base/clear..then automotive airbrushed work then more clear worked very well for me. If you decide to pick-up the pinstrippers brush , check out HOK(House of Color) Pinstrripe paints..again ..clearcoat before pinstripiing then more clear to cover the pinstripe...
Haven't heard of Custom shop..it's been awhile since working with the airbrush, but Auto-Air offers some extraordinary and brilliant colors..Have Fun!

In the Kustom(spelled with a K) Shop paint, the kits they supply have the paint and reducer no hardener. The reducer supplied is a mid temp reducer, so i am thinking the reducer could be the hardener also. I will do some more searching Also
