I have a 1989 F150 2wd and I have the opportunity to put some coils from a 4wd f150, will this work? Will I run into any problems? Will it sit any higher?
Thanks for any info.
TexasGuy001, what brand did you use, how much were they, and how much did it lift your truck's front? I assume you have the inline six from your post.
I've also been told to get a hold of front springs for a V-8 with air conditioning as these were even stronger. I guess springs from an extended cab V-8 with air would be even stronger yet.
Ford gave me the heavy duty half ton springs and they had 3 more coils then the ones I had on the truck and it lifted it a couple of inches. My truck looks like a 4x4 again. BTW it is an 86 F150 302 no air, reg cab 4x4. Good Luck
