>Well during our 1st cold wheather spell here in Dallas, my lovely 9 year old daughter proceeded to jump in a cold excursion and whipped down the tv/dvd screen and proceeded to push the screen past its locks and snapped the brittle plastic hinge off of it.
I am going to attempt an exploratory and see if it is something I can fix, but am not sure what the best method. Buy a used head unit from ebay for appx $100, or goto Circuit city and have them install an aftermarket or something like that.
I would love some advice from those who have had this issue "snap" to their attention.

>I removed the complete upper console unit. It looks like the head unit that contains the monitor/tv screen could only be removed from the back side once the overhead console was out. The head unit screen appeared to be riveted into place in the console assy. Not wanting to drill out the rivets I decided to split the clam-shell that contains the tv monitor. The back half of the clam shell contains the hinge bracket which is molded into that clam shell half. I am wondering if you can purchase just the case half? I guess it will be off to Ford dealer this week to see if I can find just that half? Any suggestions?<o
