Hi!
I am about to replace the right front brake hose on my 1999, F250 Powerstroke Diesel truck. You know, the hose that starts at the caliper and ends at the "strange looking connection", fixed to the frame. Any tips or tricks? Any do's or don'ts? Anybody knows why that strange looking "clip" right where to hose connects to the copper pipe, is there?
Sometimes it is better to ask before rather than after....
It should have a clip on it, that slides out so the hose can slide out of the bracket. They can be difficult to remove, but it retains the hose in the bracket. One side of the connector is larger than the opening in the bracket, so when it butts against the bracket, the clip locks it down.
