outside air temp screwed up

i have a 2008 F250. the outside air temp only changes three to five degrees and is usually way off.is it the sensor or something else. will a new sensor correct the problem. thanks

Do you have a snow plow or factory winter front (grill cover) on the truck? Both have been known to cause problems with the air temp sensor...

nothing in front of vehicle, plow,ect. stock grill

It's located in the lower right side of the grill. I noticed mine was way off a while ago after some work. Found out it had poped out and fallen down. poped it back in and it's dead on.

i am having the same prob. usually its about 5-6 degrees colder than ooutside ambient air temp....
