Hi all.
I've got a 90 F150 4x4 with manual locking WARN hubs. Just recently I've noticed on my passenger side a grease stain around my hubs. It is the whole circumference of the hub, about 1/2" wide. The silver outside portion of the hub is a bit loose if I wiggle it. The allen nuts that hold it on are tight. 4x4 still works to my knowledge, but I'm worried about damage. Should I get this checked out?
the aftermarket manual hubs don't stay completely tight, as they are only held in by a snap ring, this is normal. as far as the grease leaking out you may need a new gasket, it looks like a rubber band and fits inbetween the cap and the lock itself.
oh yeah, one more thing.
With the gasket leaking, should I be concerned about repacking the bearings? There doesn't seem to be a lot leaking, but enough for the smear.
