hi first timer jus bought an 84 f250 6.9 w/ a 4 speed manual trans 4x4 i have very little knowledge of transmissions and need serious help i have a synchronizer going bad on trans and b4 i spent 400 bucks tried removing a plug on drivers side top part of trans and put half bottle of lucas oil trans slip fluid into it and when i put the plug back in it is stuck in reverse and i need the truck running it is my only source of income please help
is it a side shifter or top shift if it is a side shift check the shift deviderit stops the shifter from moving two levers at the same time top shift pull the shifter off check for broke parts in the shifter
i would like some advice because i was told my synchronizer finally went out that y it locked up and b4 i spend the money gettin a new one or a rebuild i want to make sure ive used all my options
The pipe plug you are talking about on the side of the tranny or on the top.
it is on the drivers side i think i might try rebuilding it myself if anyone has good internal pics of a t19 please email to me my email is the 7 post i think
t19 are easy to rebuild i had to rebuild mine to get a kit that comes with instuction u could try duble clucthing thats what i did for 6 mounth till i had mine rebuild the kit only cost me 185 in june

mine wont even move but in reverse tho wut is double clutching?
