Suspension!?!
hey guys, i have a 1983 F350 1ton with a rebuilt 351w and before i built it, the truck sat for about 12 years inside. It has IFS dana 50 with 2 leaf springs. If the truck sits over the years, does the suspension get sacked out and i only have 1 inch from my rubber bumper on the frame to the axle. should there be more than that!?

The biggest problem is not the springs but the shackle bushings, especially the ones up inside the frame in the front. The TTB puts a twist on these bushings as it works up and down, and they do not last very long. If these are shot, replacing them will give you more room to the rubber bumper.
