Sorry, I just now saw this post, I had been gone all day yesterday at Matt's and I haven't been back on til now.

I do recall you mentioning a trip of yours, but I didn't recall you coming down this way, I thought you had stayed up north going into NY.

How did you she do in all those twists and curves in the backcountry with the trailer?

the truck and trailer were awesome. three axles is the way to go. Alot smoother.

Its heavy though and my fuel mileage went to crap. If I pull it at 70-75 it dropped to below 10 MPG.

once I got to Canada and slowed down I got about 10 or 11mpg

I think that it had to do more with the fact that you had titled the thread to me personally instead of just a general topic and that is why he asked if PMs weren't working. I don't know why it would bother him one bit, I've seen plenty of people do it and no one acted that way, but oh well.

whit and tex, I'm glad you guys posted. I read more than I post. Most info you need you can search for. I have a 28' enclosed 2 axle car hauler thats a extra foot taller, so its nice to see what other people haul and get for fuel mileage! And where your travels take you.

Wasn't trying to be an *** or anything, just wondered why you would make a new thread instead of sending a direct PM for something that has no relevant information. If everyone did it this board would be impossible to read. That's what PMs are for.

Sounds like a good time. Should always take a couple pictures when you stop along the way of long trips, folks love action shots of the trucks with a load in sun, rain, sleet, or snow!

This post didn't help you out in that endeavour either, which is the problem with computer posts, hard to tell intent unless you spell it out(one of the reasons why my posts are generally longer then a lot of people would like. I see nothing wrong with it, it generated some conversation both from me and from others. I've seen alot worse threads put on here that could be done away with.

I really thought this was a forum. Where people with like minds and interest could have conversation without offending each other too much. I was just making the statement, I would have like to met Tex face to face and seen his truck.

WOW

Don't worry, your still a neophyte when it comes to offending people. You have a long way to go before you get to my ranking with some people.

Where are the places that you go to frequently around here on your trips? Focus in particular the Confederate states area as that is were all my travels center around from Texas to Virginia, well and Kentucky too, but they weren't apart of the confederacy(honorary, but not officially).
