Exhaust Manifold getting Cherry red

Why is this happening?

We have a 1989 Ford F250, 4x4, 351 engine.

We just got new catalytic converters, and new fuel injectors. But the Exhuast manifold on the passanger side is getting cherry red.

Any ideas why?

You have a problem. It's either running VERY lean on that bank or your new cats are too restrictive.... plugged up......

codes, timing, fuel pressure all need to be checked.

a vacuum gauge will tell you if your exhaust is restricted.
