Water in cab of 03 SD

My truck is usually inside but the other day it was out in the rain and when I opened the door I noticed a puddle of water on my floor liner. The water looked to be dripping from under the dash somewhere close to the emergency brake. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was away for the weekend and the horn on my 99 250 SD blew until it killed the battery There was heavy rain and it leaked under the dash wetting the connector to the fuse panel causing it to short.

The first thing I would try is to make sure everything in the cab is dry. Then get the garden hose out and spray around the windshield seal.

I don't know if this is the same reason but in my 00 Excursion the roofline along the top was rotted out causing water to leak in. It leaked down onto the fuse panel and shorted it out. I had to have the body shop reconstruct the roofline.

There has been a few threads in here about this happening. I believe it is usually the windshield leaking and they have to replace the windshield. I would suggest trying a search to find the threads.

my 01 f250sd had the same issue only mine leaked on the control module so the radio, windshield wipers, etc.... would just come on out of nowhere. windshield was leaking. some places will pull it and reseal it. but they don't cover anything if it breaks so take fordxfords advice and use the hose to check and then to be safe I would just replace it. be there when they do it and inspect around the windshield for rust spots. i found 1 on mine and thats where it was leaking. the guy sanded it down for me to get a better seal and I haven't had an issue since.
