Quick Q - Pre-pump install

While the turkey's in the oven I plan to install the "Fuel Tank / Pre-Pump Kit"
(Since I don't have a bed in the way I'm figuring 2hrs labor.)

In the instructions they picture a 'Line release tool'.

Do I really need this tool or can I just carve the clips off with my
plasma cutter (just kidding) hacksaw or dykes ???

yes, it's needed. You can get plastic line tools for a few bucks. cheaper than a six pack and an hour of cussing.

Chuck go boom?

get the disconnect tools, you dont have room to use a tubing cutter(remember those fuel lines are SS and thick walled)

Chuck go boom...Thats funny Brandon. Definitely need the disconnect tools. I still had a heck of a time getting the lines off. May have just been because the ones I was using were well used.
