I have seen in the archives that some of you have installed greasable ball joints in your trucks . I'am trying to find part numbers for these , but I'am not having much luck . Moog has a part they call "enhanced" but it doesn't actually say greasable .
Does anyone know the part numbers that I need ?
I'd be willing to bet all of Moog's joints have them, and most aftrmarket ones would, too. I think it's mostly an OEM thing to have non-greaseable joints, so don't buy Ford ones again.
I could be wrong, but that's what I've seen - and the cutaway pictures I've seen of Moog's all have places for the grease fitting.
Just picked up a two sets of the Moog enhanced, they have the grease fittings and plugs to cap the fitting holes, recommend that the fittings be removed so they don't get damaged/broken off-road or by the u-joint, this is for a Dana 44 in the front of a '79. My replacement Ford units-granted it's been many, many years and really only one lower is starting to get a touch of play which says a lot for the stock pieces, are the non grease fitting type.
