Have always loved big SUVs, had a couple suburbans but got a 2001 Excursion LTD, 7.3, a week ago. 112,000 miles, clean as a whistle. I'm taking it to California on Dec 1st and considering stopping at FatBob's in Ogden, Utah, on the way to have a 2" lift kit ($481 + labor) installed and the Edge Evolution ($479) controller.
I am open to any comments, suggestions, warnings, ... threats (?) about those additions......
Thanks
(sitting in my Freightliner in the gasfields of Wyoming)
I've got the 3" Superlift lift on mine and love it! I actually dropped it from the 6" that was on it when I bought it. It was just a little too tall for my better half.
I've got a 4" Pro Comp lift on mine and love the height! It really makes the truck look twice as big as it really is. As for the Edge, UNLEASH THE BEAST! Then you want to add an cold intake system and a 4" exhaust from the turbo back. All three components work better together than seperate. I have two 7.3L's and have the same set up on both. It is like night and day from stock to either of the three settings. You will love it.

Thanks. Plan is a slight increase in height, for looks and ground clearance here in Wyoming and the mileage, HP, torque, and information available in the display. Trip to California will be a good test, 300 miles of interstate to Ogden for baseline numbers, then, after the additions, more testing on the way to the Los Angeles area...
I am not ruling out the other additions you suggested, will just be down the line......
