Question ? about reverse lit gauges??

Hey guys, I am in the process of buying a new dash cluster for my 1995 F150 (new to me) anyway, it has white face reverse lit gauges?? In the pic the guy has of them, it has some wires hanging out of the cluster. Is this normal, and what do they connect to? I mainly want it for the tach, but am happy it has the white faced overlay. Also do any of you have this setup and a pic of it with the lights on so you can see the gauges lit up???

Thanks

Can you post the pic? That might help to start with. I personally can't think of any wires that would hang loose on the back of a cluster.

Well, you got it posted so we can see the ad. I am not sure where those wires, personally, go to. I did take the liberty of asking the seller. Hopefully he will reply with an answer, more hopefully he'll answer it on his ad.

Little bro asked him for me and he said that they had to do with the reverse lighting? He also said the reason the speedo hand was pegged all the way was because it didnt have voltage to it like it would in the truck.

Thanks for ANY help

This is where someone else can hopefully input from their experiense. I found another one on ebay with the reverse gauges but it didn't have the extra wires. I'm at a loss now. Sorry.

It may be part of the original harness cut from the truck. I did a cluster swap on my truck and the cluster i bought off ebay had the plugs and wire leads in place on the back.

I dont know about the reverse guages though.

It could be part of the original harness cut out of the donor truck, but it looks like they're all black, and the original harness would be different color wires.

I've installed those gauges in a few cars and trucks, it looks to me like it is the wiring for the glow modules.

Nice gauges!

Yes, the seller replied as Truxx said: "These wires are for the reverse glo guages... 1 is power and ground and 1 is switch for dimmer"
They are nice gauges. Good luck with them.
