Hmmm holland and football...When she was in second grade my hubby at the time (dont ask) was Pop Warner football coach for the Mighty Mights. holland wanted to go watch and decided then and there to play. She had hair down to her mid thighs and because the boys would pull her pony tail to bring her down we had a meeting and decided to cut it. No harm no foul hair grows back. Its just hair. She was knocked around, kicked, elbowed etc and we often heard opposing team dads and coaches say bring her down. It just made her fight harder. Out of four girls I only had one girlie girl. I have never asked any of them to be prisses and I have always taught them you COMMAND respect you do not ever DEMAND it. Holland proved you can play in a guys world and still deserve to be treated with respect. I have often had to kep the mother in me from running out onto the field when a player intentionally hurt her but its between the coaches refs andplayers. Momma stays in the stand. I also taught all my girls just because you get hurt does not mean you need to whine and cry. Our phrase was always Suck It Up Princess. If they are going to play in a male world they better be prepared to play like the guys. I have sat inmy truck in a pre hurricane rains watching her do 100 chinese sit ups (laying on back holding face mask and lifting legs and holding for a certain count) muddy water running down her back and yet she never quit. I have watched her take hits that would make a boy run home to momma and she gets up wipes her tears and gets back with her team. She is no stranger to sports as she was a long distance runner at three. She has played soccer, basketball, bowling, and is a phenominal horseman. How many grls do you know can beat the local western riding girls at barrel racing and she in an english saddle? (you have to know the sport sorry) she is strong as an ox has abs you can punch and she doesnt quiver, her arms are stoked, she is healthy as an horse and strong as an ox. She has just always been involved in things that made her step outside the box. he refuses flag football because its not a real sport. She is 12 5'4" 97 pounds. I have seen her go from a football game to a dress for the after game dance and no one even recognizes her. Its all in how she was raised. I believe her playing sports etc has made her a stronger person. She can hold her own when the chips are down. i have raised my girls so I dont have to "worry" about them when they are on their own. She is now one of the guys. If I could figure out how to post pics in here I would show the lil tater tot to y'all.
austino I hope you do not mind I snapped up your forum for this post. Love ya man!
Remember the girl in the movie, Little Giants? Best athlete on the team. Do your fingers get tired typing those huge paragraphs? I saw a couple of your posts in past couple days that were like a novel. haha.
I'd play football if my knees werent bad (i think i had a case of over weight), and i didnt have bad asthma.
Not going to get any better spending hours on FTE. Go grab your bike, and spend Sat. riding around looking for women... I thought that's what all 12 y.o.s did?
I said at one time I would need a publisher for my posts...lol
I tried putting her pic in my sig line but no luck.
austino you need to get out and excercise. YOur too young for your knees to be bad. You can also make your asthma better and will help with your diabetes.
If your "mommy" buys it for you she is in the wrong. She is feeding you what you do not need. STUFF! You need something else and it isnt stuff. I think you a very very materialistic person.
I think you need the gift of "time" quality time. I cannot imagine my daughter sitting at computer all day like you do especially hanging out with adults. You need a life outside your bedroom. I think you need a good "awakening" to the real life of a 12 year old.
