I have never been involved in any ford 4X2 to 4X4 body swaps, but I have been on chevys and the body lift makes things go a lot smoother.
But from what I have seen there isn't much if anything different with the floor pans between the 2wd and 4wd models, with the exception of the extra hole for the 4x4 lever.
