can any one help me
i was given a 1988 f 150 5.0 with no distributor when i went to order a ditributor there is 2 diferent ones one with a steel gear and one with cast iron not to be interchange how can i find out witch one to buy thank you

Everyone will tell you the yours in a hyd flat cam. Ford had roller motors sitting around and DID put some into some trucks. I have heard several people tell that they tore into there motor and found rollers. Alot of people here are going to tell you they started in 94 too but Im here to tell you my 92 has and had from the factory a roller cam and lifters. Although its a much much! Bigger cam now.
