What motor in '79?

What motor did the '87 come off of?

IF your '79 is a 300 or 302, and the '87 was a 300, 302 or 351w, it's a match.

IF your '79 is a 351m, 400, 460, then the later model trans must be a ZF from behind a 460--probably not out of an F150.

The donor is a 300 6cyl. and I think a 351W f250 flywheel will match it up to my 351c.My big question is the hyd. clutch.

351C? This is a transplanted engine, as they were never factory installed in trucks. Is that correct? You know for sure it's a 351C, not a 351M?

If it is a 351C, it should bolt up. Pilot bushing size might be an issue, so check that before you try to install. I do not know of a source for that bit of info other than perhaps Numberdummy if you PM him with the specifics. You will have to retro a juice clutch as both the Mazda, which is probably what you're looking at, and the ZF use internal concentric hydraulic slave cylinders for the throw out.

Pics of these transmissions are here, so's you can exactly determine which animal you are getting:
