Perfect tire/wheel combo
This may not even be possible but I have to ask. Does anybody out there with a similar model truck have 33x12.50s that don't stick out past the fenders? If so what backspacing are your wheels and how severe is the tire rub you're probably experiencing? I have a new paint job now and would like to protect it without getting flares. I guess I could try some 33x10.50s but I fear they might look to skinny, plus I'm pretty dead set on those 33x12.50s. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sorry bud but i think fender flares or skinnier tires are your only option. i do have a friend who just lifted his trooper and put his 33x12.50 on 15x8 wheels, they dont stick out that much but they still stick out.

Yah man, fender flares are the only way to go I have a 1992 F-150 XLT 302 with a 4 inch lift kit with michelin 33 12x50's and they don't really stick out, but they throw mud and rocks everywhere on the side of the truck

You should easily be able to find 15" rims in the width/offset/bolt pattern you're looking for. You could run a 15x8 rim with 4 5/8 backspacing w/ a 33x12.5 tire and barely stick out at all.
