Question for the numberdummy
1956 F800 . Their p/n is B4TZ-3A764-A they said 55 thru 60 F750 and
up to F900. I can not come up with that p/n in my books. I know you
said they change p/ns all the time. So Im just wondering if that no. is
good or changed again, so I can just go to the Ford dealer and get a kit.
thanks sam

You can buy a CD of this catalog from hipoparts.com for around $22.00. Ford made many changes from the individual year catalogs, when they printed this catalog in 1964.
The CD is the way to go, IMHO. And....It's a heck of a lot cheaper than paying $200.00 for the two volume set of books from Carpenter!
btw: I'm using the books, cuz a local dealer closed, I knew the parts manager, so I got 'em for free!

B4TZ3A764A .. P/S Cylinder Seal Kit / Obsolete
Fits: 1954/56: F750/800/900 (except w/Tandem Axle & Air Brakes),
Fits: 1957 F700/900 // 1958/60 F700/1100 w/6M; 7M; 8M Front Axles.
You cannot go to the dealer and buy it, it's been obsolete for more than 20 years.
However, ONE Ford dealer still shows ONE in stock, and one obsolete parts vendor has three.
I'd try the dealer first, prolly cheaper than the obsolete dealer.
BOWMAN FORD SALES in Bowman ND has one: 701-523-3257
GREEN SALES in Cincinnati OH has three: 800-543-4959
You may be able to buy it for the original cost price, which will be much cheaper than my pals at Green Sales will want!
