to roll off the assembly line in 2004, has all the employee signature's. No, i'm not making it up! I read this in Diesel Power Magazine. You can find the signatures underneath the carpet. So if you have a 2004 Ford Excursion, you might be lucky! They did not specify where the signatures are either.
Perhaps they thought that the end of the 2004 run would be the last one since Ford was flailing about as to whether they would continue the line or not. Either way, *IF* the story is true, the last '04 would have those signatures and the true last Excursion in 2005 production run would get nothing...
Would the last ex off the line have high value? Would you buy it just because it was the last or because it contained the signatures? I dont think I would.
TO: mohrds. Where did you get your grille, mirors, and front bumper? I want to do that to my 2000-2002 Excursion when I finally get one
Everything has been off of Ebay except the fiberglass reinforcement panel. That I ordered from the dealer. I could have cut up the original and not bought that, but my time was worth more than the cost of that one part. Everything else is simply a bolt on except the wiring.

I would pay more money for the last X for sure. I'd love to actually see the last one now. I hope the owner is taking good care of it...actually some Ford insider probably has it.
I read that also, it would be great to know to be the owner of the last Excursion ever made. I also liked knowing that I own two out of the ten trucks listed in the article: A '99 Super Duty Super Cap 2WD and a '01 Excursion 4x4 limited. Both with 7.3's. Oh how sweet it is.

I raced and then met a guy who had I think 3 of them. We were at a light and he started it, so I finished it. He came into my store (worked for the now failing Circuit City), we talked, and he said he had a fully loaded '05 locked away in storage. He went on to say he had a '00 (the one he raced me in), an '02 V10 for his wife, and the '05 for keeping a part of Ford history.
