HELP something wrong with my tranny!!!!

So I'm trying to figure this out....86 AOD 4X4 not shifting out of 2nd gear and hanging in first. The clutches do slip a little but you can barely notice it. Put a pressure gauge on it to check line pressure and it does climb to roughly 28-32 psi (gauge is in 5 psi increments). This just started today and I just finished doing the line pressure test (after robbing oil gauge). ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS.

The important thing with that tranny is the throttle cable. Make sure it's hooked up and adjusted correctly.

I would check to make sure the Throttle Valve Rod/ Cable is actually moving at the carb and at the trans.

Now, My trans just did the same thing, and mine was hooked up correctly. My trans is now shot after a 10,000 mile rebuild. Mine was holding in first and not shifting, regardless of the TV Rod actually working.

Check the TV Cable/Rod, if thats working correctly, I think it's time to pull the trans.

Well it's still doing the hanging in first and not shifting out of 2nd. I've looked over everything and I still really don't know what it is. As far as I can tell the TV cable moves freely and it pulls at the tranny at the same time but, it looks like the linkage at the tranny isn't moving all the way. Is there a way to adjust the linkage or is the thing just toast.
