Front lower shock bolt E250 Van

Broke the front shock bolt, thought I could just replace the bolt, dealer parts guy says I have to replace the control arm. Looks like bolt is pressed in like a wheel stud, anyone got a quick fix? Drill it out replace with same size bolt? Weld a wheel stud in its place?

What year E250?

yea, it looks like it is part of the lower control arm. bummer!

How long have you lived in the Pacific Nothwest Ed? I use to live in Port Orchard, worked in the shipyard there in Bremerton back in the late 70's early 80's
