My starter is getting slower and slower so I'm going to replace it before it strands me somewhere. After surfing the forum I've decided to go with the torque monster from DB Electrical:
I've read where it's fit for some and others have had to cut a small portion of cross-member out to make it fit. For those of you who have this starter (or know somebody who does) did you (they) need to cut the cross-member to get the starter to fit? Is it a good idea to shave some off anyway for clearance/movement issues?
I don't have a Sawzall or pneumatic tools at home, but have access to a shop that does. I'm trying to figure out if I should do the work there or if I can do it in my driveway.
