460 trans help plzz
Hi guys will i need help i got a 1986 ford F-250 with a 460 4 speed granny low wondering if the trans frum the 351 with the same granny gear fits. I think the bellhousing fits but will the splin line up with the 460 TY............

if the 351 is a windsor then the bellhousing do NOT fit, if the transmissions are the same brand and type then you should be able to switch the bellhousings and the splines should be the same and would cross over.

Here's some info on the tranny you have, which is a t19. Only the 460's and the diesel's got the t19 trannies, so the tranny you want to swap in may be a t18 or a warner tranny.

i have a 86 ford f150 with a 460 with a c6 im trying to put a granny low with a divorce case in it but the transmission is setup for a manual clutch but the truck is setup for a hydraulic clutch how do i fix this can i get a newer bell housing because ive seen a 5.8 with granny low that has ears on the bell for the slave to bolt to but 5.8 bell want bolt to a 460 will it?
