How important is Calcium cloride in a older tractor. For example my W4 International. Its not like it will be working too heavily but Id like to still be able to pull a small cultivator inbetween trees and what not. But I know how rims hate Calcium chloride.
Just try and find some wheel weights that will work, Most of the new tractors are going with wheel weights instead of calcium cloride. That stuff is very corosive.
I wouldnt bother with it ryan. For the light work you want to do with it, its really not needed.
If you find that you do need a little extra weight, wheel weights like marlon suggested would work great.
Talk about that crap being corrosive, I was working on a tire one time and got that crap all over my hands, and it reminds you really quick of every little cut you have on your hand!
The only reason for calcium chloride is to for extra traction so if your not pulling real hard too often I do like Marlon says and skip it. Without it tire repair is a whole lot easier, quicker and certainly cheaper to do. Not to mention less messy!

Did it help your hands to heal faster? That`s similar to potash, it burns in any cuts or scrapes but seems to help in quicker healing......
Anything wheel weights that you can bolt on will do though it might be hard to find any that fit well and will bolt on easily. I`ve even seen guys cast cement into a round shape they can easily bolt up.
I think I still have some spare wheel weights but at this moment I have no clue where they are or if they`ll even work.
If you are just pulling an 8'-10' cultivator you shouldn't need any thing. Not sure what your ground is like up there but down here we need weight on the cultivator to keep it in the ground. LOL
