I'm running BFG muds..the new ones. They ride well on the street, but they won't give you the kind of miles an A/T will, but you can get a good 40-50k out of them if ur nice. I have a picture of them in my gallery. They look really good, have great off road traction, and ride decent on the road. I too drive 98% on the street.

Have you thought about a set of general grabber m/t's?I had a set of 35s on my truck i got around 45 thousand mile out of them mabey a little more. They bite real good offroad to.I drive 30 miles to work everyday and i have been inpressed with the way the handle on and off road.1 of the best things about them are there cheaper then a bfg to.Just my 2 cents.
IU have 30,000 on my General M/Ts with 95.5% highway and 5% offroading and they still have 65% of the tread left... Great tire I will definatly be getting another set.
The BFG Muds do look great, and do fantastic off road, but how do you guys like them on the street? How are they in the rain and snow? Looking to buy the K/O's this weekend since I haven't heard from anyone how the M/T's do in wet conditions.
Well before you buy a set of at's, i have some opions for you. I've owned both on my truck. I started out with the bfg at-ko's and wasn't real happy with them. They were great on the dry pavement. Good in the dry dirt and off roading. But in the snow, mud or rain they weren't as good as i thought they'd be. I know have the bfg mud's. I love them. They're just as quiet on the street, don't clog as easy with snow or mud. as for rain, they're about the same as the at's. i never really have any problem with them in rain unless i get stuipid...but then again thats not the tires fault. If i were you...i'd go mud terrains. I'll never run anything less on my truck.
Well great..I"ve been bouncing back and forth on this decision for a month now. Biggest concern with the M/T's around here is, it seems almost every street in town here goes UPHILL! Stoplights are generally placed at the midsection of the steepest hills, so we have alot of uphill starts around here. That's hard enough on the clutch to begin with, but throw in rain, ice and snow, and it gets pretty tricky! Body shops LOVE this town in the winter time!! I'm just concerned with the M/T's letting me slide back down the hill. I suppose I should just get the M/T's now, and save up for a set of A/t for winter time..except gee that's deer/elk/turkey etc..season when I'd need the M/T's the most! Allright, time for a cold one.
just my 2 cents.. I have run both tires. BFG M/T's 33"x12.5 15" and got 60000 plus out of them and sold them for 100 bucks when I took them off. Now I have a set of BFG A/T's and have about 60000 on them with loads of tread left. Both tires perform well for me on the road. I am a sinner I never this my truck off road I do have 2 other trucks that I beat in the dirt. I have a second truck with a set of Goodyear MTR's 35"x12.5 15" tires and they are a very nice tire. Well maybe that was more than 2 cents but oh well.
The BFG muds are suprisingly a good snow tire. They did a write up in 4wheeler.com's magazine. They tested it in snow rain mud anything. I've had my tires on anything and they worked fine. I have studded snow tires that I use in the winter, once i took out the mud terrains and you could feel the difference but even still the muds weren't bad. The studded tires are a lot better than any regular tire though.

I have the BFG muds and they are great. I will probalby get about 55,000 on them before they need replacement. I drive alot in the rain here lately and they are better than I expected. I will definitely be getting the new KMs when these wear out.
I have 32s on mine, but they are the new BFGs not the older type. I love them they are a great tire all around.
