Some of you may know I'm going into the market for a newer F250. I prefer the reg. cab long bed 4x4 style with the 5.4 engine. I know a diesel would be more efficient in this truck but really a 5.4 would more than suit my needs.
Anyway, with that said, would you rather have manual or auto and why? This time I will make sure it's NOT a lemon either.
Keep in mind that manuals are almost next to impossible to find unless you find some fleet sales type vehicle that was meant for a construction or utility company. Most dealers do not even order manuals for regular lot sales because they just do not move. If you are set on a manual, you may have to custom order or take a long time for the dealer to source you one. Many times the dealers will just flat out refuse to find one or try to steer you to a automatic.
Another consideration is that a manual will depreciate faster than an automatic for the same reason that most people will want the later.
Only you know the answer to that question. I say if you don't mind either see which truck you can find the best deal on and run with it. I played hell finding my Fusion with the nice options and a stick, in the end I setteled for an I-4 just to get a manual.
