Which new Expedition?
I have a '97 4x4 EB and am thinking of buying another one. They are just too cheap to pass up these days!
It looks like there were some significant changes along the years. I'd like to know if there is a year model range to avoid. My '97 had been wonderful, but it is getting a little worn. I'd like to get into something around an '04-'07. Anything wrong with any of those years?
Also, no 4x4 for me this time.
I sure hope Ford doesn't have to go out of business. I love these trucks.

I would paruse the TSB section by year to see who had the most and avoid it, but depending on the issues. I saw a new '08 EL Expy for $17k, man I could deal with a few problems and dealer warranty trips for that price.

If you go with the 07 - 08 you will enjoy the better gas mileage!! 21-22mpg (70MPH) I just bought an 08EB great deal!! i haven't seen one of $17 but $25 -$30 or so with a few miles, just cannot beat it if you tow and have several kids.

My 06 EB just turned over 100,000 miles (all highway miles) and have not had a lick of trouble (just stay on top of the 5,000 mile manufacturer maintenance suggestions). Been a very reliable car and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It's beautiful too (and get about 16 MPG)
