hey guys can anyone provide instructions on TQ sequence and torque for 6.0 .
im getting them used and just need info, when need arises i have everything ready to roll.
BTW which HG do you guys recommend ? stock or aftermarket?
The stock head gaskets are fine for most tuners applications, order the proper gaskets for your model year. ARP will supply you with information on torque specifications. The torque sequence can be found under your model year in the tech folder at the top of the forum.
Do not follow the torque specifications in the manual, these are for factory torque to yield bolt. You will have a 3 step sequence, first round 125, second 165 and final 245.
Check the block and heads for flatness, a local machine shop can do the heads, remove no more than .009 is the limit.
Additional info, I notice you mentioned used? Make sure you use a lube recommended for studs.
thanks . i know i have to use ARP lube. and if i blow it ill have new heads put on ....
wooow 245# thats a lot of clamping force. but since 6.0 has less studs than 7.3 you have to.
