i have put a 3 inch body on my truck and want to get rid of the ugly gaps between the frame and the body. i went to my local 4x4 shop to see if they had any for my truck. they said the only ones that they make are for 4x4's and stepsides. We looked into gap guards and lift lips and it was like he said, just for 4x4 and stepside. i know the back gap guards on 4x4s and 2wd are the same but would there be a difference in the front? by the way my truck is 2wd.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Jul-02 AT 08:13 PM (EST)]I have a 3" body lift on my truck and a gap guard on my truck but mines a 4x4.only thing i can think of is you may have to trim it down to fit.
The cheapest gap guards around and will work on any 4x4 or 4x2 is go to Home Depot and get some of the Black plastic landscape edging and cut it to the length you want and rivot or sheetmetal screw it to where you want it and can be trimmed quite easily also works good for the rear bumper the landscape edging is aprox 4" wide or up to 6"s wide
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Aug-02 AT 01:31 AM (EST)]no i made my own brackets for the back bumper so i dont need any gap gaurd there looks like it was from the factory and the front bumper well they gave me brackets for that.i dont understand why they dont give you the brackets for the rear bumber with a body lift hmmm.:-X23
