no 4 low

no 4 low

Back in the summer ran into a smart @$$ bout his dodge rumble bee how his truck could pull mine well I was drinking so I put the 86 F250 4x4 on him. Put the truck in 4 low pulled him dn the road, smoke was roling any ways it went into 2 high no probs and goes in 4 high no probs but the shift will not go in 4 low. What could of happened? any feed back appreciated.

do you have the transmission in neutral when shifting in to 4 low? Did you initially get it into 4 low?

Check the shifter bushings...they sometimes just go bad and don't allow full range of the shifter.

Yea the shifter went in 4 low fine & went out fine just wont go back in 4 low. Thanks for the replys.

If you put the truck into any kid of bind while it was in low range you could have bent the linkage or bound it up. I'd check that and your bushings for failure.
