Engine Swap
I have a 1965 F100 with a 240 cu in 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree.
I would like to swap in a 302. I have a few questions.
What motor mounts do I use?
Will the 302 bolt to my transmission?
What do I use for the accelarator linkage?
Thanks

Suggest run a search on the topic, open the 'forum' menu, scroll down to 'search' and type in appropriate title, '302 engine swap' or title simular, then narrow search to the 61-66 forum, or the 'engine swap' forum. That being said, have a 65 F100 with the T18 4speed, approx. 35yrs ago swapped 300ci for 302ci, tranny hooked right up, and had to shift tranny crossmember slightly, suspect same with 3 speed on column but not certain. There has been quite a few post on subject. Used 302 motor mounts, if recall, had to shift the mount approx. 1" or so and able to use 2 of the 4 mounting holes. Also, need the 302 flywheel. I modified accelerator to direct linkage, posted couple pic's in my gallery for anther member not sure if much help. Suggest wait for additional input and consider options, if recall, another member(s) noted using accelerator cable with the engine swap. Have a 68 302 and found the 6 cyl. clutch pivot ball threads where different than the thread in the 302 engine block, ended up rethreading the pivot ball threads but later found there is a 302 pivot ball, O'well. Mentioned this because don't want to have to try tap/die once engine is inplace so best to check before hand. Anyhow, enough rambling, again topic has come up on number of occasions, a search should provide additional info either in 61-66, or engine swap forum, and suspect other members will be providing additional info.
