Sway bars
I've seen them in JC Whitney. I'm just curious as to how good or bad these are, and if there is a better quality or more notable name making them.
It might be worth noting here that if you are adding a front anti-sway bar to a SD, ('99 and later), which came with no anti-sway bar you had best check first to ensure you have the proper front end hardware to mount it. Hellwig supplies only the bar, a bushing, and a note which states their product is designed to REPLACE the factory bar using the factory hardware.
The rear bar from Hellwig is complete with a big plastic bag full of erector set type stuff to confuse poor fools like me, although I did get it installed to the amazement of my pal the mechanic).
If that doesn't fog things up enough, Ford doesn't even call the durn thing an anti-sway bar but a "stabilizer bar". This no doubt because the lawyers in Dearborn deny Fords have ever swayed. (I do too, but only to people driving Dodges)
