It just dies
Hey, Has anybody had a similar problem?...Bought an '88 f250/460 auto 6weeks ago it always had an intermitant rough idle problem but no codes. Then one day after driving for about an hour it just started running really bad and then quit. I had my code reader with me and it then gave me 2 codes 41/33. I did manage to get it running and got it home and replaced the egr it ran great for about 20 minutes and the quit again after doing a lot of fussing and testing etc. I pulled out the pip and it ran. So I decided to replace the module. It started and ran for about a minute and then quit it will only start if the pip is out. Can anybody help? Thanks Geo.

The first time it died and spit out the o2 and egr code it was very rich (like flooded). I would have checked this but noticed some wires in poor shape so I repaired them. So I thought why not see if the ign. module is toast and I pulled out the pip and it runs...every time. Not well mind you because there will only be base timing. It's got me bugged. Geo

Is there any way you can show me a pic or explain further. I believe the ignition module is on the left of distributer (4 wires) and then coming off of this harness there is a 2 wire with a 'jumper chip' pip? Is this correct? geo Ps already replaced the module and still have the problem.
