hey i have a 3 inch body lift. as you know my bumper was not lifted with the body. the performance accessories kit did not come with the back brackets just the front bumper brackets. does anyone know where i can get them or where i can get them made?
I am considering a body lift for mine but I have never seen a body lift for an older ford come with a bracket to raise the rear bumper. I want to put a body lift on mine to give it a few more inches of clearance for the 35s. Also the old body mount bushings are about in need of replacing and it would be a great time for a body lift. My front bumper is not a problem because I have a Warn Enforcer winch bumper that can be adjusted. If anyone knows of a 2-3" lift that comes with a rear bumper raising bracket or a manafacturer that makes one seperately I would also like to know.
You should be able to order the brackets from the body lift company that you ordered it from, mine was performance accessories. If you can't find one a company has to have one on the internet, i've seen them. And you should replace those body mount bushings, they help with body roll, and are probably shot like mine

D Ray, do you have any pix of your Warn enforcer bumper on yout truck, I was thinking of getting one myself. Do you like it, have you smashed into anything (trees, civics) and does it hold up? I have wondered why the chevy one is like $200 and the Ford one is $550 though... Better truck, better bumper?
I hope to get some pics on here pretty soon. I did hit a deer on the interstate with the bumper last december. I was running about 70 mph and never had a chance to touch the brakes. It knocked the bumper in slightly on the passenger side where it hit but it was so slight that no one else would probably even notice. It did crack the black plastic end of the bumper but it too is not very noticible. All I know is that when I hit it, it wasn't pretty. The passenger side front tire took a good amount of the impact along with the bumper. After a front end alignment I was ready to roll again. I do still have some blood stains that I haven't been able to get out of the black paint. Again, it wasn't pretty!
I would say that it has to be one of, if not the best (toughest) bumpers out there-and not just because I have one. Probably the best thing about it is I can stand on top of the bumper to get to the motor. It would be a pain just changing the oil without it since it is lifted a little.
I'm not sure why the price difference in the Fords and Chevy's. I can say that they don't look as appealing on the chevy's as they do on the fords, but then again- nothing does!
