I have an '07 Escape Hybrid. Even though I completely loathed the factory Conti-crap tires, I ran them into the ground and just replaced them yesterday at 45,000 on the odometer. Other than filters and the new tires, I have not had to replace anything else. As the mileage grows higher on your Hybrids, what, if anything, have you guys had to replace? I know there are some NYC taxis with a crap-load of miles on them. Anyone else own a higher mileage Hybrid?
I have about 70,000 miles on mine combined - I keep the miles even by swapping with my wife a couple times a year. No issues at all with either of mine except the '06 got a new rear lock motor a couple years ago.
I do all my own maintenance at or before the factory schedule. Oil at 5k, battery filter at 10k and everything else at 25-30k although I think I am early on all of them -better safe than sorry.
The stock Eco+ tires on both of mine still look new so no fear running them through another winter. They were at around 8/32" last I checked IIRC. What did you replace the Conti's with? Any changes in the ride and/or mileage?
So, like you I have had no issues with mine. Nice to read I am not alone.

Fuzion XTi's. Near identical to the Firestone Destination A/T's, but $15 a tire cheaper on Tirerack. Much quieter and much better handling, especially off-road. I've only had them three days now but the instant fuel economy gauge on the hybrid info system shows about a 1MPG drop from before. Somehow my wife gets better mileage in that thing than I do. I guess I'm just used to driving a stick.
I agree.. my '05 already has the stock junkinentals and they are NOISY AS HELL! Well.. actually three of them.. I put an el-cheapo on because one blew, but about to replace the other three with the same el-cheapos.. at least to get through the winter.
Come spring, we'll be in a much better financial position to get some nice tires.. but we'll see how long the el-cheapos last.
It's a shame too.. the continentals have a good 6/32" of tread left.. they've just gotten choppy and the noise is driving me bonkers...
We had our car about 8 months now with absolutely no problems.. it's got 51,000 on it now... (had 40,000 when purchased). I changed the oil when we got it.. it was clean but I had no idea what was in it. Changed it again about 2,000 miles ago... Mobil-1 5W20.
I'll probably do the battery filter when I put the tires on it.. it was brand new when we got it, so probably about due now. Also averaging about 32-33MPG (4WD).
So after a month of these new tires I am seeing a consistent 30MPG instead of a consistent 32MPG. Of course it is also getting colder so that isn't helping any.
